Meet Leif and Gaëlle


We are so happy to share our retirement project at La Ventana.


Located in Baja California Sur, just 2hour drive from Cabo San Luca, it is a paradise for wind lovers!


There are activities for everyone, from whale / DOLPHIN watching, mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding etc.

transportation


  • Direct flights to cabo san luca (sjd) from montreal with air canada are on friday
    another option is a DAILY direct flight from toronto 

  • rental car options
    you can have access to our friend's f150 truck for a reasonable pricE.

    alternative: we have used bbb rent a car and have been very happy.
     
    you will need a car for your grocery shopping, downwind support, restaurants, etc.



communication


  • if buying an esim, make sure it supports  telcel as AN operator. movistar does not work in la ventana. 
    if you prefer a physical sim card, there is a telcel store in la ventana, it is very cheap.
    wifi in the house is with starlink, fast & reliable


money matters


  • cash is king in la ventana, but many restaurants accept credit cards. there are a few atms in la ventana. it is a good idea to withdraw some money on arrival in cabo san lucas from a bank machine, rather than a private atm in la ventana. ALTERNATIVELY, THERE IS AN ATM 20 MINUTES FROM OUR HOUSE IN THE NEXT VILLAGE (LOS PLANES)

  • kitesurfing and wingfoil lessons can be paid by credit card

  • wise payment method is used in SOME restaurant, from your phone wise app.
